Fundraising 201

Rita recently completed a second workshop series sponsored by the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Lake County and the Lake County Community Foundation. “Fundraising 201” was the core content presented to grantees of the two foundations. Included in Rita’s presentation were the topics of the board role in fundraising, overcoming fundraising fears, innovative fundraising practices, and strategies for cultivation and stewardship. An in-depth presentation by Joyce Palmquist on the “Leadership and Fundraising Journey” of the Barrington Area Council on Aging was used as a catalyst for discussion and planning by the participants.
